The cup

Standing before the cup of God's love.  Sometimes we take a sip.

But God's love gushes in torrential waves.  Love for us.  Love for others.

It is like trying to drink from a fire hose.

It pours freely.  And because it is given for all, its abundance can not and will not be contained.

If the will is the mouth of the soul, open it.  Don't let your soul shrivel.   Be willing to accept the cup so that God's love can overturn your existence.  Only the vast outpouring of God's love can set you free from the ways that you try to sustain your life.  

Live so that others too may live.
