His Hands

Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands.

Isaiah 49: 15-16

Hands...appendages of creation, relationship, ministry.

As I pray, I surrender my self to the power of God's immense, firm hands to massage my life and consistently mold it to the form that will participate in God's plan.

As I pray, I dwell in the place in those divine hands where my name, my moments, my "self" are all inscribed.

As I pray, God's hand lovingly shifts the chin of my soul so that my gaze falls upon what God knows I must notice...where and how God knows I am to serve this day.

Hands...His...Holding me, holding you, and holding the mysteries unfolding before us all.
