The only thing that counts is faith working through love. Galatians 5:6
Every day we are presented with situations where we have an effect upon the quality of the life of others. We bump up against other people as we do things or say words or even cast a glance. Every connection that presses upon us has the potential to express either balm or toxicity.
The quality of that expression is dependent upon whatever it is that has saturated our heart (the root and center of our existence).
As I begin my day, I think of myself as a dry sponge.
I offer myself to God's presence, and as I do so I am immersed in the Love and Peace that passes all understanding.
Only then am I equipped for whatever interactions will meet me. I pray that I walk constantly with my "self" in God's hands. Then I am ready to move through the world, knowing that whenever and wherever I connect others and am even slightly "pressed" by their presence, God is surrounding the situation.
Just as water flows from a saturated sponge, God's love and peace will likely splash out of the moment!
