It is sufficient!

We approach the Pentecost readings. Or are they approaching us? Probably both.

I start by reading Psalm 104...a celebration of the creative force of God's Spirit.  God's hand moves over and within all of creation bestowing all that is essential to sustain us. Creation and critters know that.

I wonder, does my behavior indicate I REALLY know that? Do I rest in each moment fully content with what has been given in that moment or do I strive on my own to acquire extras? The words "if only ________ " are the starting point of telling God that what has been given isn't sufficient.

What happens if I view all that is happening right now under a God lens and try to see what is given and desired for me by God?  All that is necessary is there.  In the midst of all of that, can I see what I am either clinging to or striving for that sprouts from self protection or fear?

Hmmmm...I think I'll read the Psalm again!  Everything is here.  All is well.  It is sufficient!  I add my voice to all of the voices of earth, sea and sky who have ever said:  Praise God!  Thank you!
