Sanctuary

I opened my e-mail this morning....there it was, today's Daily Bible Reading from the ELCA. Ezekiel 45:1-9

It is easy to forget that the Lord still provides authoritative instruction regarding the safe and holy places and spaces that are assured for the good of our wellbeing. In the Old Testament readings it was all about the measurement of space, the placement of construction material, the establishment of physical, visible boundaries.

We the Easter People of the New Testament are assured the same sanctuary...but it is without physical limitations and allocations. When we remind ourselves that we are "in" Christ at all times and places, we remind ourselves that we are blessed with sanctuary of heart and mind.

It is more than a place to be. It is a way to be... all the time, every where.... until the end of all time.

You can't measure that... no cubits or inches or miles or kilometers can describe it.

But you can go there, can't you?
