Something to think about in the days ahead

Lent will begin with or without your consent.  It will unfold with or without your participation and the days will pass and you could come to April pretty much the same as you are today, if you choose to minimize, glaze over or discount the season.  (your choice!)

However, saying yes to it places your foot upon the path from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday.   For some few and rare people the Lenten path will be a straight, clear, methodical walk to Easter.  But for most of us there will be twists and turns, open vistas and foggy, obscure terrain.

The only choice to be made at this point is "Will I set my foot on the path?"  Yes or no?
