Oh my...we read yesterday about the lament of Jesus as he gazed at Jerusalem. How his heart, one with God, cried with the pain of frustration. His appeal to embrace all in divine love simply would not be accepted ...even though surrendering to that love was and is the only way to REALLY live...the only way to be made whole.
His arms stretch out to us...to you and me on this March 1, 2010...wings of love that span eternity.
And yet we scatter and scurry about, don't we? In our own way we fail to recognize that immense love that yearns to shelter us...like a mother hen shelters her young under her wings.
This day...just for a moment...STOP. Lean into His protection. Allow the peace to surround you as you accept His invitation to be "gathered in"... after all, you are one of the brood!
