This past weekend at CRLC offered one celebration after another. A wedding rehearsal, a wedding, the YAC Music Night, a baptism, worship, recognition of our Christian Education Staff, reception of new members, and a shower for the newest mission at CRLC, All God's Children. Brilliant Balloons, colorful ribbons, laughter, guitars and drums, presents, food galore (including pies wandering about the halls and the sanctuary enticing competitive bidders) all contributed to the atmosphere that shouted out CELEBRATE!!!!!!
Sometimes we are tempted to think that having multiple events scheduled for one weekend is too much -- there will be a collision of interests and available space. Not this time...
There was a beauty and wholeness that simply couldn't be missed by anybody who was present. The atmosphere vibrated with the energy of hope, vision, joy and love. Sacrament, fellowship, mission, education and formation all were interwoven to witness that Christ is very, very much alive and dynamic in our midst. "It" (mission) was going on everywhere, all at once....and it was very, very good!
Many members of the CRLC community may be physically tired today... we may all be breathing an aaaaahhhhh of gratitude and relief. Thank you -- all of you! Thank each other -- we planned for months as we approached the weekend of May 4-6!
Thank God for the time and space, the energy and the means that was provided as the property and people at 9201 Brecksville Rd. joyfully radiated the message: Celebrate! Christ is risen and in our midst!

I am new to blogging but have been enjoying the postings. Just want to say "hi" for now and let you know that I'll be popping in with comments along the way. Glad to hear that the celebration time went well and that it sounds like the activities were all done to the Glory of God.
