Delightful

Starter Prayer:  "God of judgment I once feared, you have now drawn close to me like a mother.  As a child does at the breast, I find myself delighting in your own delighting and delightful face."  (From Wondrous Encounters by Richard Rohr.)

Read Isaiah 49:8-15

There were those moments when the infant was no longer feeding voraciously yet not yet drifting to sleep when the eyes were the dominant connection.  It was a locked gaze.  No words, because the infant had none, and because the mother needed none.

A presence so physical, so nourishing, so deeply loving.  No judgment -- complete, essential reflection.

One could wonder which one is most vulnerable in that moment?  The infant or the mother?

The relationship with God is nourishing, loving, where you become a reflection of love.  The language of the relationship is prayer, and the manifestation of the relationship is love.
