Saturday, Fifth Week of Lent

All of Us Can Make God Visible

Have you seen those popular pictures of church buildings that are comprised of miniscule images of the members?  You need  a magnifying glass to see the individual faces, but it all blends together to depict the "whole" church.

The magnificence of our shared mission can be seen when we gaze at our life together as a mosaic of our individual experiences.  Whether we are on the giving or receiving side of compassion, whether we are celebrating a life beginning or ending, each moment and each person is an essential element of the Body of Christ here at 9201 Brecksville Road.

Of course, each one of us is unique.  And truth be told, our edges are different, and on our own we can't sustain harmony; on our own, we are not a "perfect" fit with one another.  It is God's love in our midst that softens our edges.  In Christ we are softly, (but eternally) knit together to make God visible to others so they, too, can become part of the picture.

Reflection:  How are you a piece of the picture of God's Love?
