Thursday, Third Week of Advent

Gaze at the image. Is she on the outside looking in towards you?  Or is she on the inside looking outward, asking for you to open the way?   How does the image relate to what you have been praying about with regard to clearing the way or opening your heart? 

Prayer:  Gracious God, Advent is a time of looking outward.  Advent is a time of looking inward.  Please meet me where and how I am today.  Draw my attention to what you want me to see.  Help me to know that you are with me – in the dark, in the shadows and in the mist.  Shine your light upon me so that I may see!
