Have you tried saying it yet?
Christ is Risen! He is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
They are words that embody the power of God that pulses today -- yes, today! They are words that guide us through daunting situations. They are words that calm the heart, mind and soul. They are words that remind us that at the end and the beginning of each and every day the life and love and light of God will indeed have the final (indeed, the ultimate) say!
Therefore, it is news to get excited about!
Take a quick look at this link: Paschal Greeting -- Over 85 versions are on Wikepedia.... Wherever human tongues are wagging, there is hope that this news will be announced. It is the best news ever desired by human hearts. It is news that meets each one of us in public and personal ways.
Take a look at any situation you face (that's right, you!) Because of what happened over 2000 years ago, the situation will most certainly end in some form of new life, as long as you are willing to look beyond the situation towards the future.
The new life is not in the narrow confines of the past. Fixating upon the past is like sitting gazing at a tomb. It may have some function in terms of commemoration, but it will not reveal to you the possibilities that are sprouting and perhaps already stretching out before you.
It is ok to visit the tomb, perhaps, but don't stay there!
The power of death has been set to rest, and life and love forces are whispering and rustling and saying to you: Awake! Come into the new day that has been given to you!
Christ is risen! (You can use the comment function to record your response!)
