The First Drops -- Gratitude

I've just returned from a week of "continuing education"... Life Long Learning.... and I was placed almost immediately in service to the Deaconness Conference. All I can say right now is that when pressure is exerted upon my heart and soul by the hopes, needs and desires and others, it is literally life saving that what oozes out is of God... rather than of "me and myself". I have returned filled by the prayerful offerings of our seminar leaders, by the prayers of those who were gathered in.... and by the amazing, eternally wise and loving Holy Spirit of Christ.

If you who are reading this are a rostered leader, please don't neglect your responsibility to be intentional about Continuing Education/Lifelong Leader. If you are a congregation member, please insist that this aspect of the congregation's commitment to support your rostered leader be taken seriously.

The church will suffer if leaders are not engaged in growth and depth of mind, heart and spirit.

So... thank you, CRLC and Skip Cornett and the ELCA for offering this past week to me. Thank you Linda, Lisa, and Elyse... for your willingness to sow your seeds of wisdom... and thank you, Gracious God, for providing so abundantly!

Peace... I am tired... I am going to bed even though it is before 7 on a Friday night! I will be up and at 'em early tomorrow.... This kid of God is exhausted... but so very, very grace-filled.
