This week's readings are about amazing potential in hidden (seemingly insignificant) sources.

Whether it is the Old Testament Lesson about the anointing of David, or the Gospel Lesson about the mustard seed's capability to grow into a plant in which birds may build their nests, the scriptures are telling us that God sees people and situations very differently from the way we see them.

And in that message is the promise spoken eternally to us: The faith that was revealed to us and embodied perfectly in Christ empowers and compels miraculous happenings!

Usually we are grateful for that message, but quite honestly it also can be daunting. Take any gift that you have...and personality trait...place it in God's Hand or view it under that God Lens I spoke of a couple of posts ago...and you may begin to see sprouts of potential that transcend any understanding.


Awe-inspiring....isn't it? May we all sprout!
