I want to take a small portion of your time to invite you to consider an upcoming opportunity. Obviously, if you are reading this blog, you spend time at your computer. And obviously you have an interest in your spiritual life.
Early in 2008 I will be serving as facilitator for an online course: Spirituality, An Invitation to a Closer Relationship With God. This an opportunity for you to learn a variety of prayer methods. You will read material from Christian theologians, saints and contemporary spiritual leaders.
For those of you who are considering candidacy in the ELCA, this course may be used to meet some AIM candidacy requirements (especially if your focus area is Spiritual Direction and Formation). If you are a rostered leader, the course may be used for "Continuing Education". The course is for anybody who spends time on the computer and is experiencing the question: How can I pay more attention to my prayer life?
As you participate in the online course, you will be a part of a nation wide community of folks who desire a deep relationship with God, especially with regard to seeing His extraordinary presence in the midst of ordinary circumstances.

Outstanding course. Pamela is a great facilitator. I took it last year around the time of Lent and it was especially appropriate.
Highly recommended...online discussions, readings, meditation, structured variety of lessons presented in different ways and with a flexible timetable. I learned a lot.
