Greetings, CRLC web community!
At our most recent Board Planning retreat, one of the "dreams" expressed was that we might utilize the technological gifts of our society, and more specifically, of our CRLC community. With that in mind, I have been praying and researching, wondering how that dream might take form.
I am curious about how many of you might wish to use your computer time as a means of prayer and contemplation...discussion about books, happenings, relationships...all with the intention to "see" more clearly where and how God is present and active in the midst of all that we experience. I'm also setting up this blog in response to requests that have come my way to write more, teach more, and nurture more of our church members in terms of prayer and spirituality, especially in relationship to everyday life -- the good and joyful days, as well as the painful and challenging days.
Currently one of the small groups, "Sacred Time, Sacred Space", had a lengthy conversation about "forgiveness", especially in the context of the VA Tech shootings. In the hours following our conversation, I couldn't help but wonder about the possibilities for that kind of ongoing conversation through the means of a blog. (Please note, if there was any other way for me to refer to this process, I would find it! "Blog" truly seems unfriendly and unwelcoming... but perhaps I am just old fashioned.)
I look forward to hearing from folks.... wondering what you are thinking about this online possiblity!
Blessings and peace to all of you....
Pamela
